With
reductions in Medicaid appropriations increasing, as your
Commissioner I will be a strong advocate for assuring that cost
efficiencies and cost shifting strategies deployed under the guise of
maintaining budget integrity do not erode the supports, services
and practices that provide social equity and an improved quality of
life for adults with serious mental illness; children with serious
emotional disturbances, and people with developmental disabilities
residing in Oakland County.
